Come join the fun!
Another great year of skating is upon us and we are so excited to share our classes and dates for the upcoming 2011-2012 season. Learn to Skate is a great way to introduce you or your skater to the sports of figure skating and hockey with less time and financial commitment. Choose a class that best fits you or your child and then choose your class time. Space is limited so please register early! Please click the register button for our form.

Session Dates
Session 1 September 25th-November 16th (8 weeks) $60.00
Session 2 January 2nd – February 26th (8 weeks) $60.00
Session 3 February 27th – April 8th (6 weeks) $45.00

Parent & Me
Sunday's @ 3:00pm
Skaters and their Guardian will take to the ice to learn the FUNdamentals of skating. Ages 2-4
Snowplow Sam 1 & 2
Sunday's @ 3:00pm . Wednesday's @ 4:00pm
Beginning skaters will glide onto the ice and learn the basics of skating. Ages 3-6
Snowplow Sam 3
Sunday's @ 3:45pm . Monday's @ 4:00pm
This is a great class for those who are ready to hop, glide, and swizzle their way to the top! Ages 3-6
Basic 1 & 2

A great place to start for the big kid skater! Learn to glide on one foot with confidence along with many more skills. Ages 6+
Basic 3 & 4

Get ready to crossover, turn and spin yourself dizzy! This is a great transition class for those kids looking for the next level! Ages 6+
Basic 5 & 6

It’s time to go backwards while using proper use of your edges. We will also learn the many ways to stop on skates! 6+
Basic 7 & 8
Sunday's @ 4:25pm
This class is all about jumping, spinning and movement! We will show you how to combine jumping, spinning and footwork to create beautiful choreography on ice! 6+
Freestyle
Sunday's @ 4:25pm
Jumps, spins, footwork, and edges! This class will be divided by individual’s abilities. Each skater will have equal instruction time geared towards their personal goals
Adult
Monday's @ 10:00am
From the very beginner to jumps and spins this class will be divided by individual's abilities. Each student will have equal instruction time geared towards their personal goals 15+
Home School Group Class
A great addition to any home school curriculum. This class will be divided by individual's abitities. Each student will have equal instruction time geared towards their personal goals


The Objectives of the Learn to Skate program are:
Provide a fun and safe skating experience for the beginning skater as well as the more advanced skater
To teach the correct techniques of the basic skating skills
To develop coordination and balance
To promote physical fitness
To have FUN!
Rentals and Requirements
Skate rentals are not included but are available for $1.00 per lesson
Balance is much easier to learn on figure skates! Recommended for Basic 2 & under
Helmets are free of charge and are required for Basic 2 & under
